Joseph Ribkoff's 264908 jacket combines metallic printed mesh with intricate soutache appliqué, creating a piece where texture, line and metallic finish do considerably more than embellishment alone.
The black linear soutache travels across the metallic surface in changing directions, creating strong geometric sections through the front, sleeves and back. Look closely and the metallic ground has a crackled, almost antiqued finish rather than a flat high-shine gold, giving the jacket considerably more depth.
The silhouette itself is deliberately controlled. A fitted shape follows the body without the bulk of a traditional jacket, while the mock neckline and centre-front zip keep the front clean. Long sleeves and a 23-inch / 58 cm body length finish the jacket around the hip.
Because there is already so much happening in the fabric, this is best worn with uncomplicated pieces underneath and below. Black trousers or jeans make the metallic pattern the focus; alternatively, wear it over a simple black dress when you want the jacket to replace the need for additional accessories.
This isn't really a jacket you buy simply for warmth. It is the piece you reach for when the clothes underneath are deliberately simple and you want one layer to change the entire outfit.

Keep the pieces around this jacket relatively quiet. Black straight or wide-leg pants create the cleanest foundation and allow the metallic surface to remain the focus. It can also be worn with black denim for a less formal approach, or over a simple black dress when you want a lightweight statement layer rather than a conventional blazer.

DELIVERY INSURANCE AND TRACKING
We offer shipping insurance for all orders. Insurance is with Australia Post. Insurance covers your parcel for loss or damage in transit and includes signature on delivery to avoid theft. We strongly recommend you choose shipping insurance.
If shipping insurance is not taken at the time of purchase, we accept no liability for loss, damage or theft of your package.
Note: Where the customer chooses to insure their package but opts to have it left without a signature on delivery after it is already in transit, the insurance is null and void. We accept no liability.
Our No Fuss Returns Policy is exclusively available to our online customers.
We understand that it's hard to know what a garment will look like if you haven't had an opportunity to try it. That's why we have a no-fuss returns policy at Weekends. Buy it. Try it. Love it or ship it back - fuss-free!
What can be returned?
We will happily exchange or refund the purchase price of any full-priced item you return to us. We ask you to return garments in the condition they were sent to you:
- Unworn
- Unwashed
- No odours or marks
- Original tags attached
- Any accessories included
- No alterations made
If an item does not meet the above requirements, it will be returned to you via Australia Post using COD. Returns must also meet the following terms and conditions.
What can't be returned?
Unfortunately, we are unable to accept returns on the following:

- Masks

- Earrings
- Items marked FINAL SALE or CLEARANCE

Can I exchange my order?
Unfortunately, we do not have the capacity to hold items for exchange. If you need a different size or colour, please place a new order and let us know in the order notes that you are sending the other item back. Australian returns must be sent via express post within 7 days of delivery. International returns must be sent within 14 days of delivery. We strongly suggest you purchase shipping insurance for your return for the full value of the items you are returning. We take no responsibility for items lost, damaged,ed or stolen in transit.
What if I bought items on sale?
We do not offer refunds on sale items or items purchased on promotion, however, offer store credit, which is valid for 3 months and can be used in-store or online. How do I use my store credit?
Once your garment has been received back and it has been checked, we will issue a store credit to you. To use your store credit, please log in using the same email address you used to place the initial order.
Inner Circle
All orders with our Inner Circle VIP discount applied will be returned to store credit, valid for 3 months.
What if I bought items on final sale or clearance?

How do I return my order?
To return all or some of your order, email pip@weekends.com.au to get the ball rolling. Please provide the order number and the reason for your return, including which items you would like to return. Please note that we will only accept returns that meet our standard returns window, are not FINAL SALE or CLEARANCE items, and were not purchased on sale for less than $100.
Australian returns must be sent via express post within 7 days of delivery. International returns must be sent within 14 days of delivery. We strongly suggest you purchase shipping insurance for your return for the full value of the items you are returning. How will my refund be paid?
Credit card purchases will be refunded directly to the card or account used at the time of purchase.

Afterpay purchases will be refunded as store credit for the total price of your returned items, once they are received in-store. All other "Buy Now, Pay Later" platforms, refunds will be issued as store credit valid for 3 months.
Shipping for returns?

How long does it take to process returns?
We aim to process returns within 14 days of receipt; however, during busy periods, this may increase to 21-28 days. You will receive an email when your return has been processed.
What if I have received faulty items?
If your item develops a fault within 1 month of purchase, please email pip@weekends.com.au with your order number, a description of the fault & photograph/s showing the fault. We will send you a pre-paid postage label so that you can ship the item back to us. After the item has been inspected, we will decide if it can be repaired, or will need to be replaced or refunded. Refunds will only be offered if the item is found to be faulty and no like-for-like replacement is available.
Faulty goods
If the fault is minor, we will repair the item and return it to you at no cost.
If we can offer a like-for-like replacement, the new product will be sent to you at no cost.
If we are unable to offer a like-for-like replacement and you do not wish to exchange the item, we will provide a refund.
If the fault is major, we offer a refund, exchange or store credit. This is when the item:
- has a problem that would have stopped someone from buying the item if they had known about the fault
- is unsafe
- is significantly different from the sample or description
differences in pattern placement to images on our website are due to standard manufacturing processes and are not considered "significantly different" and are therefore not considered a fault - doesn’t do what we said it would, or what you asked for and can’t be easily fixed
We will not accept faults caused by wear and tear, incorrect fit, or improper washing and/or drying of a garment.
