The Foil Bubble Trouble Blouse in Expression combines a light, sheer fabric with an abstract floral print and beautifully full balloon sleeves. It has enough presence for an event, dinner or occasion, but the button-through shirt shape means it doesn't feel overly formal.
The Expression print is particularly good. Rather than a conventional floral, it has the appearance of loose brushstrokes in blue, turquoise, chartreuse, ochre, brown and black over a soft blush-toned background. Paired with dark navy or black underneath, those colours become the focus of the outfit.
The fabric is an 82% Tencel and 18% nylon blend, giving the blouse its lightweight, semi-transparent finish. It is intentionally sheer, so we recommend wearing a nude cami underneath when you want the print and fabric to remain the focus.
The real feature is the sleeve. Generous balloon sleeves gather into elasticated openings, creating volume without needing a fitted cuff. The button-through front and shirt collar give that softer sleeve shape some structure, while gathering across the back yoke allows the blouse to fall loosely through the body.
For daytime, wear it with dark denim and let the blouse do the work. For dinner or an event, switch to black or deep navy trousers and a simple heel. There is already plenty happening in the print and sleeve, so it doesn't need much else.
This is the blouse to choose when you want something dressier than a standard shirt, but don't want your occasion clothes confined to occasions.
