Love Story - The romance of a love story – historical, fictional, your own, your parents, a new love blossoming. These are stories worth hearing, these are stories worth telling.
This season we are inspired by love; by romance, and by longing. Romances past and present and those still on the horizon.
Our colours are hopeful, joyful and sometimes stormy as love isn’t always uplifting.
Pretty winter pastels range from soft lilac, and powder blue through topersimmon and berry tones. Earthy neutrals are central in bone, sand, clay, redwood and chocolate. Blues and greens are soft through to moody with petrol playing a pivotal role. Black features like never before as the base to two of our stand out prints giving depth to an autumnal dreamy floral and allowing the dramatic jewel tones of flamingo, emerald, lime, and cobalt to shine in another.
Suiting is mix and match with plaids, plains and pinstripes all created to work on their own or together. Pants take over the spotlight with wide legged, tulip, tapered, split bootleg and jogger styles. Denim also gets a refresh featuring a jacket and jean with pin tucking and a new bootleg shape, as well as an embroidered style in colours that complement the entire range. Dresses are dramatic, romantic, softly feminine; designed to be styled more than one way to keep your attention. Self-quilted belts and clever drawstrings highlight or create shape, accentuating the waist.
Second glances are assured with gorgeous detailing-double gathered ruffles, twisted pin tucks, flounces edged with delicate scallop embroidery and metres of ladder trim. Every print is worthy of closer examination as our design team pushes the boundaries with patchwork, photo-realism, floral/geometric integration, blurred ikats and feminine florals juxtaposed with unexpected elements. Our beautiful silk habotai scarves are frame-worthy adding another important styling element where a pop of colour is desired. Silk cotton voile makes a welcome appearance in stunning blouses, with clipped jacquard, oriented tulle, and textured stretch solid plains adding newness alongside our favourite natural fabrications in eco-rayon, viscose and wool.
Knitwear is fun and frivolous, always with the softest handle, featuring chain stitched embroidery, fine mohair ruffles, ombre yarns and integrated cables.We continue our eco/sustainable journey with all yarns chosen meeting these criteria.Shapes are varied with gilets for layering, cardis with purpose-either cropped to create proportion, or longline and often belted over dresses to create shape. Styles arec hunky and boxy with threaded strapping and modern pointelle, or elegantly feminine with delicate ruffles and scalloped edging. All this variety encouraging us to play the field until we find our true love.
