Orientique for Spring and Summer
Original Prints on Cotton, Linen and Rayon
Orientique has been designing women’s clothing for more than 40 years. The Brisbane-based, Australian-owned label is known for original prints and a fabric range that includes organic cotton, rayon and linen.
Its print stories extend across dresses and tops, with fabric and construction changing between designs. Cotton and rayon appear in both woven and knitted clothing. Two designs sharing the same print can feel and fall differently.
Prints Developed In House and with European Artists
Orientique develops exclusive artwork in-house and in collaboration with European artists. Its design references include Moroccan tilework, Japanese textile traditions and abstract colour, expressed through geometric, floral and abstract patterns.
Organic Cotton and Forest-Sourced Rayon
Orientique describes its sourcing approach as “plant to garment”. The label says its fabric range includes GOTS-certified organic cotton sourced through partners and dedicated mills in India, and rayon sourced from FSC-certified forests.
The label values rayon for its drape and the way it takes colour. For someone drawn to a print who prefers a fabric with a fluid fall, that is a useful detail when comparing designs.
